Upon arriving in LA, we see palm trees:
"Look, Mom. Zoo trees."
In our hotel in Los Angeles, we layed Ella down for a nap. She protested saying that she couldn't fall asleep, but then dozed off within minutes. After 3-1/2 hours of sleep, she sits up in bed and says to me:
"I just can't sleep, Mama. I tried and I tried, but I can't."
Mama: "You can have some candy if you eat one more bit of your mashed potatoes."
Ella: "Okay, you leave me no choice."
