Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean about 10 hours into the long haul flight
Overall, our move trip to New Zealand was a huge success. We flew to LA on Saturday morning and spent the night in a hotel relaxing. We flew out of LA at 9:30 PST Sunday night and arrived in New Zealand early Tuesday morning (due to the time change). The 12-hour long haul flight from LAX to Aukland went very well - Owen slept 9 of the 12 hours; Ella watched a movie, ate, slept 6 hours, ate and watched another movie. I was so proud of the kids. Josh and I each got about 6 hours of sleep as well, so we all felt fairly rested when we landed. Air New Zealand is very accomodating and the Economy seats are actually very comfortable.
