This past August, we spent a week on Oahu island in Kapolei, Hawaii with Andrea, Brent, and new baby cousin, Cooper. We stopped their on our way to South Dakota for our home leave. It was the first trip to Hawaii for all of us. The weather was hot, sunny, and humid - a nice change from NZ winter! We had a great time seeing the Scheele's home, getting to know baby Cooper, and exploring the island. We did beaches, shopping, sight-seeing, and, of course, a lu'au.

We went to a lu'au at Paradise Cove. Their was a pig roast and authentic Hawaiin feast. There were great activities such as making flowered head and neck pieces. The kids loved the live music and danced the night away.
