Ella was playing the other day and told us, "Look at my American Idol stage." If you look closely you can see the contestants on the stage, the judges' table, and the audience. So cool!

Last week Ella comes to me out of the blue and asks, "Mom, am I old enough to go for runs with you now." The answer was, "Of course!" So we geared up and went for a jog around the small ponds by our house. It was going really well until she slipped and skidded in her white pants across the gravel path. We also had to stop every few minutes because the ear buds for the I-pod kept coming out of her small ears, but she insisted on wearing them.

Ella and Owen love to wash all of the fruit when we get home from the grocery store. Owen mostly eats while Ella washes.

The feijoa (fee-joy-a) is a native New Zealand fruit. It looks like a lime on the outside, but tastes like a sour kiwi fruit. You can cut them in half and then scoop out the fruit. Owen loves feijoas. He will beg for them and hoards them. He first had them at school and was so excited when he saw them in the grocery store. The other day Josh put on a pair of his pants and Owen reaches in the pocket as says, "Feijoa!" and pulls out a feijoa that went through the wash with his pants.

Owen loves to wear hats and he'll rarely go out without one. This skull cap has been his favorite lately.

Owen loves to help make the beds, but he HAS to put the pillows on by himself or he will end up on the ground screaming. It's great to have the help, but all of our made beds look like this....
