Josh and Jeff offered to take the girls while Erica and I shopped. Come to find out that they took the girls to ESPN Zone to watch them play hoops!

Lake Michigan view from our hotel.This past weekend we took a vacation to Chicago with Jeff, Erica, and Maia Stevens. Jeff is Josh's good friend from BHSU that Josh played basketball with. He was also a groomsman in our wedding. Jeff and Erica's daughter, Maia, is 6 months older than Ella. We drove - Chicago is a 5-hour drive from Midland. We stayed at the W Hotel in downtown Chicago right on Lake Michigan. We had a fantastic time at the hotel pool, shopping on Michigan Ave, walking through the city, and dining out. Jeff's sister who lives in Chicago babysat for us one night so that we could go out for sushi and have cocktails on top of the Hancock building. Ella was such a good baby! She loved riding in her stroller all day and loved her first time in the swimming pool. The pool tired her out so much that she took a marathon nap after "swimming" each morning.
