A few Kiwi things as of late:
Ella: "I like these socks, but they don't fancy staying on my feet."
Owen: "It's quite sad because it's Keri's last day [Big House Teacher], but it's quite good because Jen is coming to the Big House."
Both kids like to "play sport" and "do maths".
If things are easy, they're "easy peezy lemon squeezy".
When Owen is trying to display superiority to Ella he sings "I'm the King of the Castle, You're the Dirty Rascal". I thought this was only a line from a Dave Matthews song and didn't know it is a popular English children's nursery rhyme.
When you're being silly you're being "cheeky".
If Ella takes a toy or something from Owen he'll cry, "Mom, Ella took it off me!"
Owen starts school next February and wants to play cricket, rugby, and soccer. His favorite sport is rugby and his favorite team is the All Blacks. He begs me to buy him rugby jerseys and he can't wait to buy his first pair of rugby "boots" (shoes).
Other Funny Stuff:
Ella: "Mom, why do all of your work people always call you?"
Mom: "If they have questions they need to get a hold of me."
Ella: "Oh, is that why you always carry your Cranberry?" [Blackberry]

"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about." - Anonymous
