We went to Fiji last week for a family vacation. It was a short trip leaving New Zealand on a Wednesday and returning on Sunday. Fiji is a 3-hour flight from Auckland. We stayed at the
Hilton Beach Resort and Spa and visited
Treasure Island. Fiji is magical. The weather was humid and warm around 80-85F each day and the ocean was so warm. The Fiji islands are so amazing - hundreds of little islands scattered around the ocean each as its own little paradise. The film Castaway was filmed at one of the uninhabited Fiji islands. Fiji is so wonderful for kids. The Fijians are so good with kids and their were kids clubs at the resorts so that the kids could check in to do activities while we went to the spa or had lunch.
Arriving in Fiji via Air Pacific. It wasn't foggy - my camera lens just kept fogging up from the humidity!

| Ella got her hair braided at the spa. Owen watched attentively and then was so excited when they asked him if he would like a few beads in his hair too. |
 |
| He sat so still and didn' move the whole time. He picked his favorite colors, black and yellow Hurricanes (rugby team), for his beads. |

Owen was so tired on the boatride back to the Hilton from Treasure Island. He had his blankee and fell asleep in about one minute.
