Entertaining Ella

Ella is sleeping with me in my room why Josh is away to the USA this week. She was trying to fall asleep while I was brushing my teeth and says out of the blue:
Ella: "Mommy, do wishes come true?"
Mommy: "Of course they can Ella."
Ella: "Good, because I keep wishing that I can fly and I still can't."

Warning - If you're a Democrat, you may find the following offensive.
The prime minister election is going on in New Zealand so we've been explaining a lot about elections and politicians to Ella.
"Mommy, you don't like Obama because he spends all of our money, right Mom. Like, you give him something and he spends it right away. That's spending. Not me, I save my money."
She may or may not have picked up on conversations between Josh and I on American politics. I'm so proud of my fiscally conservative little Republican.

The candidate posters for the elections are posted all over New Plymouth. One candidate has a sign by McDonald's. Ella says, "Even McDonald's wants that one to win."
