We have been really into bird watching and identification. I bought a book of New Zealand birds and owen is obsessed with it. We have to read it multiple times every day and he has memorized almost all of the types of birds.

Ella helps me fold laundry and is especially good with the towels. She folds them like "snakes". They don't stack in the bin very well, but I don't want to refold them so I lay them on top of one another. Everytime I see the bulging over bin of snake towels it makes me smile.

Ella and Owen now sleep together every night in Ella's bed. They do really well together and keep eachother company. One problem - no matter who gets up first they're both awake...

Evening winter walk. Owen has some paint on his face from school.

Ella with her new Ipod. We bought her an Ipod as promised after she was able to read her first book all on her own!

I had to take this picture of Owen after he drank his fruit punch. I really don't know how it is possible to get this predominant of a juice mustache?

Wrapping paper of a gift Ella made me at school. Notice the "mum"

These are the pictures that Ella drew for Josh before he went to China. I had to take photos of them because I thought they were so great. She did them all on her own including the writing. I especially love how she drew hearts on all of our chests and she remembered to include Harriet and Eva. She also idenities her picture as "Ella M" and I love Owen's googley eyes. You can click on them to see them big. Josh is in China for two weeks. We Skyped with him yesterday and he showed us these pictures hanging in his hotel room!
